Lose Weight with Detox
Val’s Detox Program
Free Program to lose weight with detox. 5 or 10 day detox program.
This detox program I got from my friend and thai chi teacher Val. She usually does it in the spring as a detox after the holidays or sometimes to take some of the weight off that she might have gained during the winter.
It’s a 10-day cleansing program. This way to lose weight with detox is best suitable if you are basically healthy but want to clear your system out. If you have a particular health problem, you should have a consultation with a dietary therapist or naturopath before going on this kind of program.
The program is beneficial if you want do an internal body cleansing in the spring and/or autumn.
If you feel that 10 days is too long, you can try following this detox-program for 5 days. You will find the instructions for a 5-day detox program in parenthesis.

The Detox Program Day-by-Day
DAY 1: Fruit for breakfast, lunch and in the evening. Choose one fruit for each meal from the following: apples, pears or grapes. Eat as much fruit as you like in one sitting. Drink lots of mineral water throughout the day.
DAY 2, 3, 4, 5 AND 6 (2, 3): Fruit for breakfast. Choose one fruit for each meal from the following: apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, kiwi fruit and grapefruit.
Raw vegetables for lunch.
Make a mixture of a least five salad vegetables: mix roots (carrots, grated beetroot, and so on), sprouts and leafy vegetables.
In the evening eat cooked vegetables. Make a soup by boiling a mixture of at least five vegetables, preferable including onions. Do not add any salt or seasoning (if you find this dull, look below for ideas).
DAY 7, 8 AND 9 (4): Breakfast – as Day 2. Lunch – as Day 2, but in addition eat two slices of dry Ryvita crispbread biscuits. Evening – as Day 2.
DAY 10 (5): Breakfast – as Day 2. Lunch - as Day 7 (4). Evening – as Day 2, but in addition eat a baked potato with a small knob of butter.
Additional Notes
Try drinking lots of mineral water every day.
If you prefer, you may add a small amount of dressing to the raw-vegetable lunch, made from virgin olive oil and a little fresh lemon juice only.
If you feel weak and very hungry between meal times, drink a cup of barley water made as follows:
• Boil a pot of barley in lots of water until the water begins to turn pink and the barley is soft. • Keep adding water if it gets low. • When done, strain off the water and discard the barley. • Add a little cup of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey to each cupful.
You can take this drink in a flask if you need to keep going at work.
Eat as much organically-produced fruit and vegetables as possible.
When you lose weight with detox, it is not unusual to get symptoms such as headaches, tiredness or skin.
This is an indication that toxins are being released from the tissues and into the bloodstream before they are eliminated.
If you drink enough water these symptoms should not be severe, and they usually disappear before you have finished the program.
Important thing to avoid altogether throughout the diet are: tea, coffee, smoking, salt, pepper, drugs (whether recreational or prescribed), alcohol, and late nights.
Since you have chosen to lose weight with detox it’s important not to binge the day after you finish the diet. You will regret it. Readjust to the new range of tastes and foods available to you slowly.
