Frozen Fruit Smoothies

Making frozen fruit smoothies is one of the yummiest ways of getting fruits stuffed with vitamins all year round.

Frozen fruit may even have more vitamins than fresh fruit, as it usually is frozen shortly after harvest when it still has all the vitamins intact.

frozen fruit smoothies Fresh fruit are usually transported long distances, and each day that passes from the time it was picked it loses some of its nutrients, so if you can’t get locally produced fresh fruit, frozen fruit is many times a better choice.

A really bad alternative to fresh fruit is canned fruit, usually preserved in syrup. Avoid it at all times! Canned fruit is heated, a procedure where most of the vitamins are destroyed and then large amounts of sugar is added. This will only add to the circumference of your waist line and probably give you sugar cravings as well.

Some of the best frozen fruits for smoothies are:
Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, all considered superfoods.

With you on the weigh,
Eva
